What are Tense ?

 • Tense are formed from verbs. So, also call them verb tense. 
• Verbs are doing words, meaning the words that show some kind of action. 

Why do we use tense? 

• If you want to refer to the time of occurrence of an incident when you are speaking , you should use tense. 
• Tenses are so far, the most important part of English grammar. 

1. Present tense 

i. Simple present tense :-

• The simple present tense is used to talk about things that are universally true, a habit, or about something that is happening now. ( event or feeling ) 

For examples :- 
1. I go to the gym daily. 
2. Honesty is the best policy. 
3. I feel great. 

Rule of simple present tense :-

• The grammar rule for simple present tense is to use the root form of the verb with an s/es if required. 
• s/es is use only while using pronoun that fall under the third person singular i.e. He, She, It. 

Subject + Verb1 + S/ES + Object 

ii. Present continues :-

• The present continues tense is used to talk about things that are happening right now, meaning that have started and are still happening. They not have ended yet. 

For examples :-
1. I am teaching english. 
2. She is talking a class. 
3. We are learning english.

Rules for present continues tense. 

• The grammar rule for present continues is to use the root form of verb with an ing form. 
• So with any verb that you use, just add ing to it. The only thing that you must remember is to add I/am/are before the verb. 

Subject + I/am/are + verb1 + ing + object
